The TODAY Show on NBC plans to feature information about doulas this Thursday, November 13, 2008.

As was previously announced, the segment was scheduled for November 6th but it got bumped. We hope it will not be bumped again!

Debbie Aglietti, a DONA certified doula, was the birth doula for a producer at the TODAY Show. The conversation will be about the benefits of doulas, as well as a statement from a hospital that has had trouble with doulas in the past. We all look forward to seeing information about doulas on a major TV show!

Warmly,

DONA International is always excited when our doulas are featured in news stories. Each story brings more awareness to the benefits doulas can bring to new parents in their journey through labor, birth and early infant parenting. If you are presented with an opportunity to speak to a national media outlet, DONA International would be pleased to work with you in preparation for your interview. We can ensure you have updated statistics and information, as well as support from the first and largest doula organization. Please contact me for more information at PublicRelations@ DONA.org.
